DANBURY — Northeast Radiology has been awarded the distinction as a Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology, the company announced recently.
The new national program recognizes practices that demonstrate the highest level of imaging safety, efficiency and quality care. It acknowledges excellence at multiple levels, including professional staff, advanced technology in both diagnostic equipment and IT integrations, and policies and procedures the organization follows.
Northeast Radiology has locations in Danbury and New Milford, as well as Brewster and Mt. Kisco, N.Y.
“In our current medical environment, many patients are experiencing higher deductibles forcing them to be educated consumers in regard to their medical care. They are seeking out the highest quality and lower costs for imaging services,” Mark Glicklich, co-founder and CEO of Northeast Radiology, said in a statement. “Northeast Radiology has dedicated itself to providing outstanding diagnostic imaging services with a patient-centered focus. We are delighted to be recognized by the American College of Radiology as a pinnacle of medical imaging care.”
The board certified radiologists throughout the centers have expertise in a variety of areas, including: cardiac CT scan; musculoskeletal MRI; nuclear imaging; interventional radiology; sports health; breast imaging; and neuroradiology.

Northeast Radiology has also received designations as Breast Imaging Centers of Excellence and Lung Screening Centers through the American College of Radiology.
