PATIENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ALWAYS CHECK WITH THEIR INSURANCE CARRIER AS TO WHAT STUDIES ARE COVERED AS THE INSURANCE COMPANIES CHANGE POLICIES FREQUENTLY. SOME INSURANCE COMPANIES CARRY HIGH CO PAYS FOR CERTAIN RADIOLOGY STUDIES, FOR WHICH THE PATIENT IS RESPONSIBLE AT THE TIME OF SERVICE.   • AETNA: HMO policies require precertification for MRI, MRA, CT, Nuclear studies and PET Scans. Referrals are needed for some ultrasound studies.

  • ANTHEM BC/BS OF CT: Precertification is required for MRI, MRA, CT and PET scans. Some Nuclear studies require precertification also.

  • CHOICECARE: Some Nuclear studies need precertification.

  • CIGNA: HMO Policies require Precertification for MRI, MRA, CT and PET scans.

  • CONNECTICARE:Precertification is required for MRI, MRA, CT, some nuclear tests, and PET scans.

  • EMPIRE BC/BS OF NY: Precertification is required for MRI, MRA, CT, some nuclear tests and PET scans.

  • EMPIRE/SENIOR PLAN:Precertificatons is required for MRI, MRA, and CT studies. Our Mount Kisco and Jefferson Valley offices are par with the empire senior plan only

  • GHI: Precertification is required for MRI, MRA, CT, Nuclear studies and PET scans.

  • HEALTHNET:Precertification is required for MRI, MRA, CT, some nuclear studies and PET scans.

  • HIP:Precertification required for MRI, MRA, CT and PET scans.

  • HMC PPO:Most radiology studies are covered; please check with your individual carrier.

  • HORIZON HEALTHCARE: Precertification required for MRI, CT and Nuclear studies.

  • MAGNACARE:

  • MEDICARE:

  • MULTIPLAN: Precertification is required for MRI, MRA, and CT studies.

  • MVP HEALTH PLANS: Precertification is required for MRI, MRA, CT, some nuclear studies and PET scans.

  • NYGVT/EMPIRE: Precertification is required for MRI.

  • OXFORD: Precertification is required for MRI, MRA, CT, Nuclear studies and PET scans.
    Referral notification required for vascular ultrasound.

  • PHCS: Please check with your individual carrier.

  • POMCO: Precertification is required for MRI.

  • UNITED HEALTHCARE: No precertification is required at this time.
